sexual orientation

The Oregon Fair Employment Practices Act makes it illegal for an Oregon employer to either terminate or refuse to hire an individual because of that individual’s sexual orientation. It is also illegal to, based on an individual’s sexual orientation, discriminate regarding compensation and other terms and conditions of employment. An employer that engages in such discrimination is subject to economic, compensatory, and punitive damages.
